Swetha Changappa began her acting career in 2003 with the Kannada serial Sumathi, directed by S. Narayan. She rose to fame with her role in Kadambari (2006), produced by Balaji Telefilms, which made her a household name among Kannada audiences. Her performances in Sukanya (2008) and Arundhathi (2010) further cemented her reputation as a versatile actress capable of handling diverse roles.

Beyond acting, Swetha has also hosted popular shows like Super Queen and Chota Champion, and is widely recognized for her comedic role as "Rani" in Majaa Talkies. In 2014, she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 2, finishing as the 3rd runner-up, which expanded her popularity.
