Vinay Forrt began his career in theatre before transitioning into films. He made his cinematic debut in Ritu (2009), directed by Shyamaprasad. Born Vinay Kumar, he adopted the stage name “Vinay Forrt” as a tribute to his birthplace, Fort Kochi. He holds a postgraduate degree in acting from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.
