Vineeta Singh was born in 1983 in Anand, Gujarat to a highly academic family—her father, Tej P. Singh, is a biophysicist at AIIMS, and her mother holds a PhD. She completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, later pursuing Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras and an MBA at IIM Ahmedabad. Her early career included stints at Deutsche Bank, but she chose entrepreneurship over corporate stability, launching ventures that eventually led to the creation of Sugar Cosmetics.
In 2015, Vineeta co-founded Sugar Cosmetics with her husband Kaushik Mukherjee, building it into one of India’s fastest-growing beauty brands.
