Vir Das began his career in stand-up comedy before transitioning to Hindi cinema, appearing in films such as Badmaash Company (2010), Delhi Belly (2011), and Go Goa Gone (2013). In 2017, he gained international recognition with his Netflix special Abroad Understanding, which showcased his ability to connect with audiences across cultures.
Beyond films and comedy specials, Vir Das has written columns for magazines like Femina, Maxim, and DNA, and made his American television debut with Whiskey Cavalier (2019). His Netflix special Vir Das: Landing won the International Emmy Award in 2023, cementing his place as one of India’s most successful global comedians.
