Biography

Raised in India, Vishal Vittal studied cinematography at FAMU in the Czech Republic and the Baltic Film and Media School in Estonia. His career began as an assistant cameraman on TV series such as Legends and Crossing Lines. He made his debut as a cinematographer in 2013 with the short film Forced Perspective, shot in Europe. Since then, he has worked across diverse genres, from large-scale productions like Thalaivi (2021) to acclaimed independent films such as Dia (2020) and Marching in the Dark (2024), which won at CPH:DOX.
