Biography

Vivek Soni is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and actor, best known for his work in films like Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021), Chaar Cutting, and Bawdi. Born on 1986-03-31 in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, he has steadily built a reputation for socially relevant storytelling and visually rich narratives.

Vivek Soni completed his schooling at St. Anselm’s Senior Secondary School, Bhilwara, and later pursued Electrical and Communication Engineering at ICFAI-Tech, Hyderabad, graduating in 2008. He briefly interned at Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai, before studying filmmaking at Whistling Woods International, founded by Subhash Ghai. His early short films like Bawdi (2012) earned critical appreciation, and he later directed Meenakshi Sundareshwar for Netflix, which brought him mainstream recognition. He has also contributed to major productions like Ra.One (2011) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) in visual effects departments.
