Yami Gautam Dhar, born on 28 November 1988 in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, is an Indian actress who works primarily in Hindi cinema. She is the daughter of Mukesh Gautam, a Punjabi film director, and grew up in Chandigarh. Yami began her career as a model and gained early recognition through her popular Fair & Lovely commercials, which made her a household name. She transitioned into television with shows like Chand Ke Paar Chalo (2008–2009) and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam (2009–2010). Her film debut came with the Kannada movie Ullasa Utsaha (2009), but her breakthrough in Bollywood was with Vicky Donor (2012), opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, which earned her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
