Biography

Zahan Prithviraj Kapoor was born on 1992-03-11 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He grew up in a family deeply rooted in cinema and theatre, with his grandfather Shashi Kapoor being one of India’s most celebrated actors and his grandmother Jennifer Kendal a renowned English actress. His father, Kunal Kapoor, is also an actor, and his mother, Sheena Sippy, comes from the famous Sippy film family. Zahan began his artistic journey in theatre before transitioning to films, which gave him a strong foundation in performance.

He made his screen debut with Hansal Mehta’s Faraaz (2022), a film based on the Dhaka café attack, where his performance was widely appreciated. He later starred in Black Warrant (2025), a thriller series, and continues to explore diverse roles in cinema and theatre. His career reflects a blend of legacy and individuality, as he carves his own path while carrying forward the Kapoor family tradition.
