Zayn Marie Khan grew up in Mumbai in a family deeply rooted in cinema. Her father, Mansoor Khan, directed classics like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, while her uncle Aamir Khan is one of India’s most celebrated actors. She studied at Stella Maris College, Chennai, and later pursued her passion for acting and filmmaking. Before stepping into acting, she gained experience behind the camera as an assistant director in Kapoor & Sons (2016) and Secret Superstar (2017).
Her acting debut came with Netflix’s Mrs. Serial Killer (2020), directed by Shirish Kunder, where she performed action sequences—a rarity for Bollywood actresses. Since then, she has been active in theatre and independent projects, carving her own identity beyond her family legacy. Married to writer-director Akash Mohimen in 2021, Zayn continues to balance mainstream cinema with creative storytelling.
