Biography

Abhishek Bachchan is an Indian actor and film producer known for his work in Hindi cinema. Born on February 5, 1976, in Mumbai, he is the son of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Despite coming from a celebrated film family, Abhishek carved his own path in the industry with his distinct performances and versatility.

He made his acting debut in Refugee (2000), opposite Kareena Kapoor. Though the film received mixed reviews, Abhishek continued to refine his craft. His breakthrough came in Dhoom (2004), where he played a determined cop, Jai Dixit. He followed this with critically acclaimed performances in Yuva (2004), Sarkar (2005), and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), earning three consecutive Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Awards. His role in Guru (2007), inspired by businessman Dhirubhai Ambani, was widely praised.
