Biography
Aditi Shankar is an Indian actress, playback singer, and doctor, primarily known for her work in Tamil cinema. Born on July 6, 1997, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, she is the daughter of renowned filmmaker S. Shankar. Despite initially pursuing a career in medicine, she later transitioned into acting, making her film debut with Viruman (2022), where she starred opposite Karthi.
Aditi’s performance in Viruman was widely appreciated, and she followed it up with Maaveeran (2023), where she played the lead role alongside Sivakarthikeyan. Apart from acting, she has showcased her singing talent, debuting as a playback singer with the song Romeo and Juliet from the Telugu film Ghani. Her versatility as an actress and singer has earned her recognition, including Filmfare and SIIMA Awards.
Aditi holds an MBBS degree from Sri Ramachandra University, reflecting her diverse interests beyond cinema. With her growing presence in South Indian films, she continues to explore challenging roles, making her one of the most promising talents in the industry
