Biography
Amulya, born as Moulya on September 14, 1993, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is a celebrated actress in the Kannada film industry. She began her journey in entertainment as a child artist, making her debut in the 2001 film Parva alongside Vishnuvardhan. Her early exposure to television through the serial Supta Manasina Sapta Swaragalu laid the foundation for a vibrant career in cinema.
Her breakthrough as a lead actress came in 2007 with Cheluvina Chittara, opposite Ganesh, which became a box-office success and established her as a promising talent. She followed this with notable performances in Chaitrada Chandrama (2008), Naanu Nanna Kanasu (2010), and Shravani Subramanya (2013), the latter earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Kannada and the SIIMA Critics Award.
Amulya is known for her expressive acting, girl-next-door charm, and versatility across romantic and dramatic roles. She trained in Bharatanatyam and holds a green belt in Karate, reflecting her disciplined and artistic upbringing. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, in 2014.
Her filmography includes Khushi Khushiyagi, Male, Ramleela, Gajakesari, Maasthi Gudi, and Mugulu Nage, showcasing her range and consistency in performance. After a brief hiatus, Amulya made a comeback with the film Peekaboo, reaffirming her place in the industry.
