Biography

Ankith Koyya, born on June 20, 1995, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is a rising star in the Telugu film industry known for his versatile performances and grounded personality. He hails from a middle-class educator family—both his parents are government teachers, and his grandfather was a headmaster. Ankith’s early interest in acting was nurtured through active participation in street plays, pantomimes, and cultural events during his school and college years.

He completed his schooling at Timpany School and pursued Intermediate education at Narayana Junior College. Later, he earned a B.Tech in Computer Science from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). While in college, his performance at a cultural event caught the attention of an ad director, leading to his first appearance in an OLX commercial alongside Allu Arjun.

Ankith made his acting debut in the short film Yedhane Vadili Vellipomake (2016), which earned him the SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu. His feature film debut came with Majili (2019), followed by his first lead role in Johaar (2020), which released directly on Aha due to the pandemic. He continued to build his portfolio with roles in Thimmarusu (2021), Jilebi (2023), and web series 9 Hours (2022).

In 2024, Ankith gained widespread recognition for his performances in Aay and Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam, solidifying his place in Tollywood. He also contributed to screenwriting in Aswathama (2020) and trained at Adishakti Theatre Arts in Pondicherry to refine his craft.
