Biography

Arbaaz Khan is an Indian actor, film producer, and director who has been a prominent figure in Bollywood since the mid-1990s. Born on 4 August 1967 in Pune, Maharashtra, he is the son of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and the younger brother of superstar Salman Khan and actor-director Sohail Khan. Arbaaz made his acting debut with Daraar (1996), where his performance as a psychotic husband earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Villain. Over the years, he has appeared in several successful films including Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Garv (2004), Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005), and Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007), establishing himself as a versatile supporting actor in Hindi cinema.

Beyond acting, Arbaaz Khan has made significant contributions as a producer and director. He launched Arbaaz Khan Productions with the blockbuster Dabangg (2010), starring Salman Khan, which became one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time and won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. He later directed Dabangg 2 (2012) and continued to be associated with the franchise. Apart from films, Arbaaz has hosted television shows like Power Couple and made his digital debut with the crime-thriller web series Poison (2019). In his personal life, he was married to actress Malaika Arora from 1998 to 2017 and tied the knot with Shura Khan in 2023. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Arbaaz Khan remains an influential figure in Indian cinema, balancing acting, production, and direction.
