Arjun Ashokan is a rising star in the Malayalam film industry, known for his versatile performances and natural charm on screen.
Arjun Ashokan was born on 24 August 1993 in Kochi, Kerala, into a family deeply rooted in cinema. He is the son of veteran comedian and actor Harisree Ashokan and his wife Preetha. Growing up in Kochi, Arjun was exposed to the world of films early on, which shaped his passion for acting. He studied at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Kochi and later pursued a B.Com degree in Thuravoor, Cherthala, though he did not complete it, choosing instead to follow his artistic calling.
He made his acting debut in 2012 with Orkut Oru Ormakoot, a film featuring several newcomers. However, his breakthrough came with Soubin Shahir’s Parava (2017), where his performance was widely appreciated. This was followed by notable roles in films like B. Tech (2018), June (2019), Varathan (2018), Unda (2019), Super Sharanya (2022), Pranaya Vilasam (2023), Romancham (2023), and Bramayugam (2024). His ability to seamlessly shift between comedy, drama, and intense character portrayals has made him one of the most promising young actors in Malayalam cinema.
On the personal front, Arjun married Nikhita Ganesh in December 2018, and the couple has a daughter. Despite being the son of a celebrated actor, Arjun has carved his own identity in the industry, earning recognition for his dedication and talent rather than relying on his father’s legacy.
