Biography

Arjun Sarja, popularly known as the "Action King", is a renowned Indian actor, director, and producer who has made a significant impact on Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema. Born as Srinivasa Sarja on August 15, 1962, in Madhugiri, Karnataka, he hails from a family deeply rooted in the film industry—his father, Shakti Prasad, was a well-known Kannada actor.

Arjun made his acting debut in the early 1980s and quickly gained recognition for his action-packed roles. His breakthrough came with Gentleman (1993), which won him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor. He continued to deliver box-office hits, including Jai Hind (1994), Karnaa (1995), and Kurudhipunal (1995), the latter being India’s official entry to the Academy Awards. Over the years, he has acted in over 160 films, earning a massive fan following across South India.

Apart from acting, Arjun has directed 12 films, showcasing his versatility behind the camera. His martial arts expertise and black belt in Karate further solidify his action-hero persona. He is married to Niveditha Arjun, and his daughter, Aishwarya Arjun, has also ventured into acting. With a career spanning over four decades, Arjun Sarja remains one of the most celebrated figures in Indian cinema, continuing to entertain audiences with his powerful performances and dynamic storytelling.
