Biography
Arshad Warsi, born on April 19, 1968, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a celebrated Indian actor known for his impeccable comic timing, versatile performances, and enduring presence in Bollywood. Before stepping into acting, Warsi worked as an assistant director to Mahesh Bhatt in Kaash (1987) and choreographed a song in Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993). His journey into films began with the 1996 hit Tere Mere Sapne, which marked his acting debut.
Warsi rose to national fame with his iconic role as Circuit in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003) and its sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), earning him a Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role. He went on to star in numerous successful films such as Golmaal, Dhamaal, Jolly LLB, Ishqiya, and Sehar, showcasing his range across comedy, drama, and thrillers.
Beyond films, Arshad has made his mark on television, hosting shows like Razzmatazz and Bigg Boss Season 1, for which he won the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Anchor. He also appeared in the TV series Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny.
Arshad Warsi is married to Maria Goretti, a former VJ and blogger, since 1999. The couple has two children—Zeke and Zene Zoe.
