Biju Menon is a celebrated Indian actor, predominantly known for his versatile performances in Malayalam cinema.
Born on 9 September 1970 in Thrissur, Kerala, Biju Menon grew up in a middle-class family and pursued his education at St. Thomas College, Thrissur, later completing a degree in commerce and a master’s in social work. He made his acting debut in the Malayalam film Puthran (1994), and over the course of more than two decades, he has appeared in over 150 films across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada industries.
Initially recognized for his supporting roles, Biju Menon gradually established himself as a leading actor, admired for his natural dialogue delivery and ability to portray both intense and comedic characters. His career highlights include acclaimed performances in films such as Ayyappanum Koshiyum (2020), Vellimoonga (2014), and Aarkkariyam (2021). His role in Aarkkariyam earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2021, while his performance in Ayyappanum Koshiyum won him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2022.
Beyond his professional achievements, Biju Menon is married to actress Samyuktha Varma since 2002, and the couple has one child. Known for his grounded personality and dedication to his craft, he remains one of the most respected figures in Malayalam cinema, balancing mainstream success with critically acclaimed roles.
