Biography

Binu Pappu is an Indian actor and assistant director known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he is the son of veteran actor Kuthiravattam Pappu, a celebrated figure in Malayalam films. Despite his father’s legacy, Binu carved his own path in the industry, initially working as an animator in Bengaluru for 13 years before transitioning to films.

He made his acting debut in Gunda (2014) and later appeared in films like Gangster (2014) and Rani Padmini (2015). His breakthrough role came in Operation Java (2021), where his portrayal of Joy Pulimoottil was widely appreciated. He has also been part of critically acclaimed films such as Helen, One, Bheemante Vazhi, and Saudi Vellakka.

Apart from acting, Binu has worked as an assistant director, collaborating with filmmaker Aashiq Abu on projects like Virus (2019), Naradan (2022), and Thallumaala (2022). His experience behind the camera has enriched his understanding of filmmaking, making him a versatile presence in the industry.
