Biography

Chandan Shetty is an Indian singer, composer, lyricist, and rapper known for his contributions to Kannada music and cinema. Born on September 17, 1989, in Shanthigrama, Hassan, Karnataka, he developed a passion for music early on and pursued a career in the entertainment industry.

Shetty began his journey in 2012 as a lyricist and assistant music director for the Kannada film Alemari, working under Arjun Janya. His talent quickly gained recognition, leading him to contribute to films like Varadanayaka, Power, Chakravyuha, and Bhajarangi. His breakthrough as a solo artist came with hit singles such as Halagode, 3 Peg, Chocolate Girl, Tequila, and Fire, which established him as a leading figure in Kannada pop and rap music.

In 2017, he gained widespread fame by winning Bigg Boss Kannada Season 5, further cementing his popularity. He later made his acting debut in Vichitra Prema Kathe (2017) and continued to expand his presence in the industry.

Shetty married Niveditha Gowda, his fellow Bigg Boss contestant, in 2020, though their marriage ended in 2024. Despite personal challenges, he remains a prominent figure in Kannada entertainment, consistently delivering chart-topping music and engaging performances.
