1. Chiranjeevi has won four state Nandi Awards and nine Filmfare Awards South.

2. In 2006, he received the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award, for his contributions to Indian cinema.

3. He was the first South Indian actor to be invited to the Oscars in 1987.

4. His 1990 movie Kodama Simham was the first South Indian movie to be dubbed in English.

5. He has won multiple Filmfare Awards for Best Actor.

6. He is known for his charitable works, and founded the Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation in 1998.

7. His original name is Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad, and his mother suggested his screen name, Chiranjeevi, which means "immortal".

8. He has appeared in over 150 movies.

9. His 1992 movie Gharana Mogudu earned the status of the first South flick to mint over Rs 10 crore in a single year.

10. In 2002, he was honored with the Samman Award for being the highest income tax payer for the 1999-2000 assessment year.
