Bungle Shama Rao Dwarakanath, also known as Dwarakish, is an actor, director, and producer in the Kannada film industry. He was born on August 19, 1942 in Hunsur, Karnataka. Kannada filmmaker C. V. Shivashankar gave him the name Dwarakish. 

Dwarakish began his career in the 1960s, first appearing as an actor in Veera Sankalpa (1964). He made a dozen movies with Vishnuvardhan from 1974–1986, most of which were big hits. In 1969, he started his own production company, "Dwarakesh Chitra", with Mayor Muthanna as his first production. He has produced 47 movies under the company's banner, including Amma I Love You (2018). Dwarakish has also written songs such as "Haavige Mungusiyuntu" and "Namma Hosa".
