Biography

Farah Naaz Hashmi, also known as Farah, is a Bollywood actress who was active from 1984 to 2005. She was a prominent actress in the late 1980s and mid-1990s, and has appeared in more than 60 films. Some of her hits include Marte Dam Tak, Naseeb Apna Apna, Love 86, Imaandaar, Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Diljalaa, and Rakhwala. 

Farah was born in Hyderabad, India to Jamal Ali Hashmi and Rizwana, and is the older sister of Tabu. She made her debut in 1985 in Yash Chopra's Faasle, starring opposite Sunil Dutt. In 1986, she starred in Naseeb Apna Apna opposite Rishi Kapoor, which was a remake of the 1982 Tamil film Gopurangal Saayvathillai. She also appeared with Aamir Khan in Jawani Zindabad (1990) and Isi Ka Naam Zindagi (1992).

Farah was married to actor Vindu Dara Singh from 1996 to 2002, and they have a son named Fateh Randhawa. In 2003, she married fellow Bollywood actor Sumeet Saigal.
