Geetha Kailasam is an Indian actress, producer, and theater artist known for her contributions to Tamil cinema and television. She is the daughter-in-law of legendary filmmaker K. Balachander and was married to Bala Kailasam, a filmmaker. Initially pursuing a career as a chartered accountant, Geetha later transitioned into the entertainment industry, producing films and television serials under the Minbimbangal production banner.
Her journey in the industry began with her involvement in television soap operas, including Anni and Sahana, which were directed by K. Balachander. She played a crucial role in mentoring young female artists, encouraging them to showcase their talents effectively. In 2018, she directed her first theater play, Oru Sila Pala Nimidamum Pechum, which focused on the struggles women face in daily life.
Following her husband's passing in 2014, Geetha decided to step into acting, taking on supporting roles in Tamil films. She has appeared in movies such as Sarpatta Parambarai (2021), Veetla Vishesham (2022), Natchathiram Nagargiradhu (2022), and Maamannan (2023).
