Biography
Hima Shankar Sheematty, born on June 2, 1987, is an Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam films and short films. She has also directed and performed in various theatrical productions. Hima Shankar was born in Thrissur, Kerala, India, to N. K. Shankaran Kutty and E. V. Kumari. She attended St. Don Bosco Girls High School in Kodakara for her schooling and Rajarshi Memorial Higher Secondary School in Aloor for intermediate studies. Later, she pursued a postgraduate degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Calicut School of Drama and Fine Arts.
Hima Shankar began her journey as a theatre artist and later transitioned to the Malayalam film industry. She has been part of significant plays staged in Kerala during the 2010s. Known for her outspoken views on social issues, she frequently participates in panel discussions on evening newsrooms. She gained further recognition as a contestant on Bigg Boss Malayalam (Season 1).
