Biography

Jagapathi Babu is an Indian actor and producer who has appeared in over 170 films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. He's also known for his songs, including Kodanda Ramudanta, Swapnala Venta, and O Chilakaa Raa. Babu has won four Filmfare Awards and seven Nandi Awards. 

Babu was born on February 12, 1962 in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He made his Telugu debut in Simha Swapnam (1989), which was produced by his father and directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao. His first commercial success was Peddarikam in 1992. He's known for his roles in Rangasthalam 1985 (2018), To Father with Love (2016), and Legend (2014). 

Babu is 5' 7½" (1.71 m) tall. He has two daughters and is married to Lakshmi.
