Biography
Jaideep Ahlawat, born on February 8, 1980 in Kharkara village, Rohtak, Haryana, is an acclaimed Indian actor known for his powerful performances in Hindi films and web series. He completed his education at Jat College, Rohtak, and later pursued a Master’s degree before enrolling at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. Initially, he struggled to find leading roles and appeared in minor parts, but his breakthrough came with Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), where his intense portrayal earned him recognition. He went on to play impactful supporting roles in films like Commando: A One Man Army (2013), Gabbar Is Back (2015), and Vishwaroopam II (2018), gradually establishing himself as a versatile performer.
His career reached new heights with mainstream successes such as Raees (2017) and Raazi (2018), followed by his widely acclaimed role as Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary in the Amazon Prime series Paatal Lok (2020). This performance won him multiple awards, including Filmfare OTT Awards, and cemented his reputation as one of India’s finest actors in digital entertainment. Jaideep has since appeared in projects like Jaane Jaan (2023) and continues to be celebrated for his raw intensity and ability to bring depth to complex characters.
