1. Jaya Prada was born on March 3, 1962.

2. She has acted in 300 films in eight languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, and Marathi.

3. She has been the highest paid Hindi actress from 1985–89, and the third highest paid from 1990–92.

4. She has been in many controversies, including in 2009 when the Election Commission issued her notice for violating code of conduct by distributing bindis to women in Rampur's Swar locality. 

5. She also accused senior leader of Samajwadi party Azam Khan of circulating her nude pictures.
