Justin Drew Bieber, born on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian singer and pop icon. Discovered by American record executive Scooter Braun in 2008, he was brought to American singer Usher, leading to the formation of the record label RBMG Records. Bieber gained recognition with his debut extended play (EP) “My World” (2009), which quickly achieved international commercial success.
His teen pop-driven debut studio album, “My World 2.0” (2010), debuted atop the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest solo male act to do so in 47 years. The album’s single “Baby” (featuring Ludacris) became one of the best-selling singles of all time.
Bieber continued to break records with subsequent albums, including “Purpose” (2015) and “Changes” (2020). His latest album, “Justice” (2021), topped the Billboard 200, setting a new record for the youngest solo act with eight US number-one albums12. At the age of 12, Bieber entered a local singing competition and caught attention with his rendition of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” 3.
