Facts

K.R. Gokul was born in 2006 in Kozhikode, Kerala, making him one of the youngest rising stars in Malayalam cinema.

He completed his schooling at Saraswathi Vidya Nikethan, Pantheerankave and Zamorins Higher Secondary School, Calicut, before pursuing a BA in Malayalam Sociology at Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College.

His acting debut came with Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life (2024), where he played the role of Hakim, a performance that earned him critical acclaim.

Gokul’s portrayal of Hakim required a significant physical transformation, showing his dedication and discipline as an actor.

Interestingly, his character Hakim was kept hidden from trailers and posters by director Blessy, making his performance a surprise revelation for audiences.

He secured the role of Hakim through auditions, impressing the director with his innocence and natural acting ability.

For his debut performance, he won the Best Debut Actor – Malayalam Award at the 13th South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) in 2025.

Despite being new to the industry, he has already signed upcoming projects like Valathu Vasathe Kallan and Shanthamee Raathriyil, marking him as a promising talent.

Outside of acting, Gokul enjoys travelling, which reflects his curiosity and openness to new experiences.
