Shobhraj, also known as Shobaraj, was born in Karnataka, India, and has been a prominent figure in the Kannada film industry since the early 1990s. He made his debut as a villain in Chaitrada Premanjali (1990) and quickly rose to fame as one of Sandalwood’s most sought-after antagonists. Over the years, he has acted in a wide range of films, including notable hits like Police Story (1996), Yajamana (2000), Shabdavedhi (2000), and Simhadriya Simha (2002). His versatility allowed him to portray both menacing villains and strong supporting characters, earning him respect from critics and audiences alike.
