Biography
Kishore Kumar G, popularly known as Kishore, is a critically acclaimed Indian actor known for his powerful performances across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. Born on August 14, 1974, in Channapatna, Karnataka, Kishore’s artistic journey began in theatre during his college days at National College, Bengaluru, where he pursued a master’s degree in Kannada literature. He later taught literature and worked as an assistant to fashion designer Vidyasagar before transitioning into acting.
Kishore made his film debut in Kanti (2004), where he was initially hired as a costume designer but ended up playing the role of Beera—a performance that earned him the Karnataka State Award for Best Supporting Actor. He followed this with impactful roles in Rakshasa, Duniya, and Polladhavan, the latter marking his breakthrough in Tamil cinema.
Known for his intense screen presence and versatility, Kishore has portrayed a wide range of characters—from a kabaddi coach in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu to forest brigand Veerappan in Attahasa (2013), and a devoted father in Haridas. His role as forest officer Murali in Kantara (2022) further cemented his reputation as a powerhouse performer.
Beyond films, Kishore has appeared in web series like The Family Man and She (Season 2), where his farming video caught the attention of director Imtiaz Ali. He is also a producer under the banner Visthaara and an ardent follower of philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti.
