Kritika Kamra, born on October 25, 1988, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is a celebrated Indian actress known for her dynamic presence across television, films, and digital platforms. Raised in a Punjabi Hindu family, Kritika’s father is a dentist and her mother a school principal. Her upbringing across various cities shaped her adaptable personality, and she completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj. She later enrolled at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in New Delhi to study Fashion Communication, but her passion for acting led her to drop out and pursue a career in entertainment.

Kritika made her television debut in 2007 with Yahaan Ke Hum Sikander, but it was her role as Arohi Sharma in Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009) opposite Karan Kundra that catapulted her to fame. She followed it up with successful shows like Pyaar Ka Bandhan, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, and Reporters, where she played strong, emotionally complex female leads. Her portrayal of Dr. Nidhi Verma in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge earned her critical acclaim and several awards, solidifying her status as a household name.

In 2018, Kritika transitioned to films with Mitron, opposite Jackky Bhagnani. Though the film didn’t fare well commercially, it marked her entry into Bollywood. She found her stride in the OTT space with roles in Tandav (2021), Kaun Banegi Shikharwati (2022), Hush Hush (2022), and Bambai Meri Jaan (2023), where she portrayed Habiba, a character inspired by Haseena Parkar. Her performance in Bheed (2023) as a journalist also drew praise for its realism and depth.
