Lena Mohan Kumar, popularly known as Lenaa, is a versatile Indian actress, author, and screenwriter who has made a significant mark in Malayalam cinema.

Born in 1981 in Thrissur, Kerala, Lena pursued her early education at Seventh Day Adventist School and Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School. She later completed her postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology and worked as a clinical psychologist in Mumbai before transitioning into films. Her acting debut came in 1998 with the Malayalam film Sneham, and since then she has appeared in over 175 films across five languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and English.

Lena is admired for her ability to portray complex, layered characters, often balancing mainstream roles with critically acclaimed performances. She gained recognition with films like Traffic (2011), Spirit (2012), Left Right Left (2013), and Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015). Her versatility has allowed her to seamlessly move between cinema and television, earning her a reputation as one of the most dependable actresses in the industry.

Beyond acting, Lena is also an author, scriptwriter, and YouTuber, reflecting her creative depth and intellectual curiosity. In her personal life, she was married to Abhilash Kumar from 2004 to 2013 and later married Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair in 2024, who is notably the commander of India’s Gaganyaan mission.

Today, Lena continues to be celebrated not only for her cinematic achievements but also for her multifaceted personality—an actress with academic grounding, artistic flair, and a strong presence across multiple creative fields.
