Leona Lishoy was born on 26 April 1991 in Thrissur, Kerala, and is the daughter of Malayalam actor Lishoy.

Before entering films, she worked as a model, appearing in advertisements and fashion campaigns.

She studied at Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School, Thrissur, later graduating from Christ University, Bengaluru, and earned a postgraduate diploma in Business Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru.

Her acting debut was in 2012 with Kalikaalam, where she played Sharada’s daughter.

She gained her first substantial role in Jawan of Vellimala (2012), starring opposite Asif Ali.

Leona has acted in films across genres, including Annmariya Kalippilaanu (2016), Mayanadhi (2017), Ishq (2019), 12th Man (2022), and 21 Grams (2022).

Her performances in 12th Man and 21 Grams earned her the Ramu Kariat Award for Most Popular Actor (Female) in 2023.

She is admired for her graceful screen presence and expressive acting style, often balancing mainstream roles with character-driven performances.

Apart from films, she has also appeared in short films and television projects, showcasing her versatility.

Despite being the daughter of a known actor, she has built her career independently, gaining recognition through her own talent and dedication.
