Biography

Manchu Manoj Kumar is a well-known Telugu film actor, recognized for his versatile performances and dynamic screen presence. Born on May 20, 1983, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he is the son of veteran actor Mohan Babu and has two half-siblings, Lakshmi Manchu and Vishnu Manchu, who are also prominent figures in the film industry.

Manoj began his acting career as a child artist, appearing in films alongside his father. His debut as a lead actor came in 2004 with Donga Dongadi, which earned him the CineMAA Award for Best Male Debut. Over the years, he starred in several successful films, including Bindaas (2010), Vedam (2010), Potugadu (2013), and Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda (2014). His performances have been praised for their intensity and natural flair, earning him the Nandi Special Jury Award for Bindaas.

Apart from acting, Manoj has been involved in philanthropy, launching the Manoj Kumar’s Unity Foundation to support farmers. His personal life has also been in the spotlight—he was previously married to Pranathi Reddy in 2015, but they divorced in 2019. In March 2023, he married Bhuma Mounika, daughter of late politicians Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Shobha Nagi Reddy.

After a six-year hiatus, Manoj announced his comeback with What The Fish, directed by Vishnu Manchu, marking his return to Telugu cinema. His journey continues to inspire fans, making him a beloved figure in the industry.
