Biography

Manju Pavagada is a celebrated Kannada actor and comedian whose rise from humble beginnings to television stardom has inspired many. Born in 1987 in Pavagada, Tumkur, Karnataka, he grew up in a middle-class family and completed his education at a government school in his hometown. Financial constraints led him to work at a petrol bunk before pursuing his passion for acting.

Manju’s journey into entertainment began in 2012 as a theatre artist, performing in local plays that honed his skills in comedy and drama. His big break came with the comedy reality show Majaa Bharatha on Colors Kannada, where his natural comic timing and expressive performances won him widespread acclaim. This success opened doors to the film industry, and he made his debut in Love You 2 (2018), followed by roles in Ramarjuna (2021) and Bajrangi 2.

In 2021, Manju entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8, where his grounded personality, humor, and emotional authenticity resonated with viewers. He emerged as the winner, taking home a cash prize of ?53 lakhs and the winner’s trophy2.
