Biography

Peya Jannatul, also known as Jannatul Ferdous Peya, is a celebrated Bangladeshi model, actress, lawyer, and television presenter who has made significant strides both nationally and internationally. Born on October 14, 1991, in Khulna, Bangladesh, she rose to fame after being crowned Miss Bangladesh 2007 at just 16. Her early success in pageantry opened doors to a flourishing career in modeling and acting.

Peya made her film debut with Chorabali (2012), earning critical acclaim and a Bachsas Award for Best Supporting Actress. She went on to appear in films like Gangster Returns, The Story of Samara, and Chitmohol, showcasing her versatility across genres. She also starred in popular dramas such as To Be or Not to Be and Projapotir Shukh Dukkho. In 2013, she won the Miss Indian Princess International title, further cementing her status as a global beauty icon.

Beyond acting, Peya is a qualified lawyer with a law degree from the University of London and became an advocate at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 2022. She has also made her mark as a sports anchor, hosting the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and becoming the first Bangladeshi presenter at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Peya is the first Bangladeshi model to grace the cover of Vogue India and has served as a brand ambassador for TRESemmé and Yamaha Motorcycles Bangladesh. Known for her love of motorcycles, horse riding, and fitness, she balances glamour with grit. Married to Faruq Hasan since 2014, she is also a mother and entrepreneur, running initiatives like “We Foundation” and offering co-working spaces in Dhaka.
