Biography
Preethi Asrani, born on September 7, 1999, in Surat, Gujarat, is a rising star in South Indian cinema, known for her work in Telugu and Tamil films and television. Belonging to the Sindhi community, she moved to Hyderabad to pursue her passion for acting. She graduated from St. Ann’s College for Women, Hyderabad, balancing academics with her growing career in entertainment.
Preethi began her acting journey as a child artist in the Telugu film Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara? (2012), followed by roles in Gundello Godari and the short film Fidaa, where she portrayed a blind girl. Her television debut came with the Telugu serial Pakkinti Ammayi in 2016, and she later made her Tamil TV debut with Minnale on Sun TV, playing the lead role.
Her film breakthrough arrived with Malli Raava (2017), where she played the younger version of the female lead. She continued to build her filmography with roles in Happy Wedding, Pressure Cooker (her first lead role), A: Ad Infinitum, and Seetimaarr. In 2023, she made her Tamil film debut with Ayothi, starring alongside Sasikumar. Based on true events, the film earned her widespread critical acclaim and showcased her emotional depth and screen presence.
