Biography
Rachita Ram, born Bindhiya Ram on October 3, is a renowned Kannada actress known for her charming screen presence and versatile performances. She hails from Bengaluru, Karnataka, and comes from a family with a strong artistic background—her father, K.S. Ramu, was a Bharatanatyam dancer who performed over 500 stage shows. Rachita herself is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, which has contributed to her graceful on-screen persona.
Rachita Ram made her television debut with Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu and later starred in Arasi. However, her big break came in 2013 when she was selected out of 200 contestants to play the lead role in Bulbul opposite Darshan Thoogudeepa. The film was a commercial success, and her performance earned her a Filmfare Award nomination.
She continued her success with films like Ranna (2015), Chakravyuha (2016), Pushpaka Vimana (2017), Ayogya (2018), and Natasaarvabhowma (2019). Her ability to balance romantic, action, and dramatic roles has made her one of the leading actresses in Sandalwood.
