Raghava Lawrence is a renowned Indian actor, choreographer, director, composer, and philanthropist, primarily known for his contributions to Tamil and Telugu cinema. Born as Lawrence Murugaiyan on October 29, 1976, in Royapuram, Chennai, he overcame significant challenges in his early life, including a brain tumor during childhood. He attributes his recovery to Raghavendra Swamy, leading him to adopt the name Raghava as a mark of devotion.

Lawrence started his career as a background dancer, gaining recognition when Rajinikanth noticed his talent and helped him join the Dancers Union. His breakthrough came when Chiranjeevi offered him a chance to choreograph for Hitler (1997), which led to further opportunities in Master (1997) and Indra (2002). His acting debut came in 1998, but it was the Muni franchise that established him as a leading actor and director.
