Rajesh Sharma, a versatile Indian actor, has graced both Hindi and Bengali cinema with his talent.

Born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, Rajesh Sharma honed his acting skills in the vibrant city of Kolkata. 

He started his journey in the world of theater with the group “Rangakarmi” in Kolkata.

As an alumnus of the National School of Drama, New Delhi, he received formal training and laid the foundation for his successful career.


Rajesh Sharma made his Bollywood debut in the 1996 Hindi movie “Maachis”.

From the early 2000s, he ventured into Bengali films, starring in projects like “Paromitar Ek Din” (2000), directed by Aparna Sen.
Return to Bollywood: In 2005, he returned to Bollywood with “Parineeta”, where he shared the screen with Vidya Balan and Saif Ali Khan.

Rajesh Sharma has left an indelible mark in Hindi films such as “Khosla Ka Ghosla”, “Ishqiya”, “No One Killed Jessica”, “The Dirty Picture”, “Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana”, “Special 26”, “B.A. Pass”, “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, and "M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" .

Rajesh Sharma was previously married to Sudipta Chakraborty, a Bengali actress, but they later divorced.

Since 2011, he has been happily married to Sangeeta Sharma.
