Ramachandra Raju, popularly known as Garuda Ram, is an Indian actor who rose to fame with his menacing portrayal of Garuda in K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018).
Born on 7 July 1980 in Bangalore, Karnataka, Raju initially worked as the personal bodyguard of actor Yash before stepping into films. His debut performance in K.G.F: Chapter 1 earned him widespread acclaim and established him as a powerful villain in South Indian cinema. Following this success, he was cast in several negative roles across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, showcasing his versatility and commanding screen presence.
Raju made his Tamil debut in Sulthan (2021) and later appeared in films like Kodiyil Oruvan (2021) and Yaanai (2022), further solidifying his reputation as a go-to actor for intense antagonist roles. Standing tall at 6 feet, with a striking personality, he quickly became a recognizable figure in Indian cinema. Off-screen, he is married to Suma Raju and is a father to two children, Reyansh and Teeyara.
