Biography
Ramki, born Ramakrishnan Arunachalam on 31 March 1962 in Sattur, Tamil Nadu, is a veteran Indian actor best known for his work in Tamil cinema.
He made his acting debut in Chinna Poove Mella Pesu (1987), which was a commercial success and established him as a leading man. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, Ramki became one of the most popular heroes in Tamil films, starring in hits such as Senthoora Poove (1988), Maruthu Pandi (1990), Inaindha Kaigal (1990), Athma (1993), and Karuppu Roja (1996). Known for his charismatic screen presence and distinctive hairstyle, he enjoyed a successful run as a lead actor until 2004. After a break from films, Ramki made a comeback in 2013 with the supernatural thriller Masani, this time in supporting roles, and later appeared in notable projects like RX 100 (2018). Married to actress Nirosha since 1995, Ramki is also related to actress Radhika Sarathkumar through family ties. With a career spanning decades, he remains a respected figure in South Indian cinema, admired for his versatility across action, romance, and drama genres
