Biography

Riya Jithu is a promising Indian actress known for her expressive performances and creative versatility. Born in Tamil Nadu, she began her artistic journey at a remarkably young age. By the age of four, she had already starred in her first film, and at seven, she won the “Best Child Artist” award for her work in Baalyam, showcasing her early talent and passion for the performing arts.

Raised in a creatively nurturing environment, Riya was inspired by her mother, an artist and vocalist, who encouraged her to explore music, dance, and storytelling. Even before she could speak fluently, Riya was humming lullabies and choreographing imaginary performances. Her childhood was filled with school programs, family gatherings, and stage shows, where she consistently captivated audiences with her energy and imagination.

By 2008, she had already appeared in six films, numerous dance performances, and music videos. Her portfolio expanded further by 2019, including over 20 national advertisements, TV commercials, and campaigns. She also served as Vice President for HR in a youth-run organization and worked with several NGOs, reflecting her commitment to social causes alongside her artistic pursuits.

Riya’s recent projects have generated considerable buzz in Tamil cinema. She is set to appear in Bhadrakaali (2025), where she plays a dynamic and intense role, and in Shakthi Thirumagan (2025), a film with an ensemble cast. She is also part of an untitled project directed by PR Arun and produced by Dolwin Kuriakose, further establishing her growing presence in the industry.
