Biography
Salim Khan is a prominent Indian screenwriter, film actor, and producer who has made significant contributions to the Indian film industry, particularly Bollywood. He was born on November 24, 1935, in Indore, India. Salim Khan gained fame as one half of the prolific screenwriting duo Salim-Javed, along with Javed Akhtar.
Together, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar penned several blockbuster films in the 1970s and 1980s, which contributed to shaping the narrative and style of Indian cinema during that era. Some of their most iconic collaborations include "Sholay" (1975), "Deewaar" (1975), "Zanjeer" (1973), and "Don" (1978), among others.
Salim Khan's sons, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan, are also prominent figures in the Indian film industry. Salman Khan, in particular, is one of Bollywood's biggest stars, known for his roles in numerous successful films.
