Biography

Sarah Niles is a celebrated British actress known for her powerful performances across television, film, and theatre. Born on June 17, 1987, in Thornton Heath, South London, she is the youngest of three children to Barbadian parents who migrated to Britain in the late 1950s. Her father was an electrician and her mother a care nurse, and their hardworking background deeply influenced Sarah’s grounded approach to her craft.

She studied drama at the Manchester School of Theatre, part of Manchester Metropolitan University, and began her career in theatre, performing with prestigious institutions like the National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, The Old Vic, and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Notably, she played Charmian in Antony and Cleopatra and Tituba in The Crucible, the latter of which was streamed internationally from The Old Vic.

Sarah gained widespread recognition for her role as Dr. Sharon Fieldstone in the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, earning two Emmy nominations and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance. Her television credits also include Catastrophe, I May Destroy You, Spotless, Trying, Viewpoint, and Riches. She has also voiced characters in The Loud House and appeared in The Sandman and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
