Biography
Shaju Sreedhar, popularly known as Kalabhavan Shaju, is an Indian actor, comedian, and mimicry artist best recognized for his work in Malayalam cinema.
Born in Kerala, Shaju completed his schooling at Mundur High School and pursued higher education at the Co-operative Arts and Science College, where he became actively involved in stage performances and mimicry. His artistic journey began with the Kalabhavan troupe, a renowned mimicry group, which gave him the platform to showcase his talent and eventually transition into films.
He made his film debut in 1995 with Mimics Action 500, a comedy that highlighted his mimicry skills. Over the years, Shaju has appeared in numerous supporting roles, often portraying comedic, character, and antagonist roles. His versatility has been evident in films such as Swa Le (2009), City of God (2011), Paavada (2016), Ramaleela (2017), Padmini (2018), and Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu (2019).
Beyond cinema, Shaju has also worked as a television anchor and actor, further expanding his reach among audiences. Known for his natural humor and expressive acting style, he has become a familiar face in Malayalam entertainment. On the personal front, Shaju is married to Chandini Shaji, and the couple has two daughters, Nandana Shaji and Neelanjana Shaji.
