Biography

Shane Nigam was born on December 21, 1995, in Kochi, Kerala, into a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. His father, Kalabhavan Abi, was a renowned mimicry artist and actor, which influenced Shane’s passion for acting. He pursued engineering at Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, but his love for cinema led him to the film industry.

Shane made his acting debut as a child artist in Thanthonni (2010) and later appeared in Annayum Rasoolum (2013). His breakthrough role came in Kismath (2016), earning him critical acclaim. He gained further recognition with films like Parava (2017), Kumbalangi Nights (2019), and RDX: Robert Dony Xavier (2023), showcasing his versatility and natural acting style.

Shane’s 25th film, Balti, is a sports action drama set against the backdrop of kabaddi, directed by Unni Sivalingam. The film, shot in Malayalam and Tamil, features Preethi Asrani and Shanthnu Bhagyaraj in key roles and is set for an Onam 2025 release3.

With his intense performances and dedication to storytelling, Shane Nigam continues to be a prominent figure in Malayalam cinema.
