Biography

Siddhant Kapoor is an Indian actor and assistant director, best known as the son of veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor and the elder brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor. Born on 6 July 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Siddhant grew up in a family deeply rooted in cinema. He studied filmmaking at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in California and began his career working behind the camera as an assistant director with filmmaker Priyadarshan on films like Bhagam Bhag (2006), Chup Chup Ke (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), and Dhol (2007). His early exposure to the technical side of filmmaking gave him a strong foundation before stepping into acting. He made his acting debut in Sanjay Gupta’s crime thriller Shootout at Wadala (2013), followed by a notable role in Anurag Kashyap’s psychological thriller Ugly (2014).

Over the years, Siddhant Kapoor has carved a niche for himself in Bollywood with roles in films such as Haseena Parkar (2017), where he starred alongside his sister Shraddha Kapoor, and Chehre (2021), featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. Apart from acting, he is also a trained DJ and music enthusiast, showcasing his versatility beyond cinema. Siddhant’s journey reflects his determination to establish his own identity in the industry while carrying forward the Kapoor family legacy.
